Te Aroha Morehu is a descendant of his Tribe, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, and his whakapapa or genealogy connects him to the greater tribe all the way to the north. Since joining his Tribal Development arm, he has held the portfolio for Culture and Identity and has lead out on a Digital Transformation strategy since November 2016. His aspiration is for the lifting of his tribal nation and indeed the Maori people of New Zealand in general. His aspirations in the Digital space are to leverage evidence based practice on connecting Maori to their cultural modalities of mind, body and soul which is backed up by research in providing better health education and economic outcomes. This is coupled with the Tourism industry in New Zealand taking over the Dairy industry as the largest. He is excited to be using leading edge technology to tell meaningful stories.
